HI This was a great tour!, led by Justin. I got a lesson in NY/Brooklyn history. Born/broughtup Boston my history teacher didnt teach much about Fort Hamilton or Fort Lafayette. I'd recommend to anyone. See pix attached.

great tour, but keep in mind you have to call ahead, make a reservation and have a Real ID. in NY it’s a star and a circle. To those people that didn’t get in, just follow the rules.

Defending New York City

Fort Hamilton's Harbor Defense Museum tells the story of New York City's defenses over time, the Revolutionary War Battle of Brooklyn, and is located in a historic caponier, part of the original fort.

Please call before visiting. This museum is located on a military installation. Government issued photo ID's are required for all adults, 18 years or older. Foreign visitor's should call the Fort Hamilton Visitor Control Center (718-630-4848) to insure that they have the required identification.
