I just can’t understand the people complaining about the access control, the museum is inside a military installations, is not just any public park, do your research before show up.

Defending New York City

Fort Hamilton's Harbor Defense Museum tells the story of New York City's defenses over time, the Revolutionary War Battle of Brooklyn, and is located in a historic caponier, part of the original fort.

Please call before visiting. This museum is located on a military installation. Government issued photo ID's are required for all adults, 18 years or older. Foreign visitor's should call the Fort Hamilton Visitor Control Center (718-630-4848) to insure that they have the required identification.
